Looking
for a fun and unique activity to help celebrate a child's birthday?
A Pottery at Your Place birthday party is super fun, truly unique
and so easy!
Company
founder, Peg Gaillard was an art history major in college and feels
strongly that children should be offered artistic freedom when painting
pottery: "We feature functional pottery pieces for children's'
birthday parties because we want to provide children the ceramic equivalent
of a blank canvas. A plate or cereal bowl offers them the opportunity
to do anything! A few dabs of color here and there on a cereal bowl
will look great and the child will then be able to proudly eat out
of it everyday. It is extremely difficult and frustrating for a young
child to paint a small statue of a mermaid, for example, and have
it look good."
Here's
how it works:
Our trained Pottery at Your Place Representative will set-up the pottery
painting and come with all supplies needed including brushes, glazes,
stencils, stamps, sponges, placemats and pottery! Our Representatives
are also ready and willing to help the children with their creations.
Maybe they want to make leopard spots on their bowl or a watermelon
on their plate. We can show them how! After the party, the pieces
will be kiln-fired, packaged and returned to the party hostess within
a week to 10 days.

Kids
Pottery Painting Art Classes:
We have also developed a curriculum of pottery painting art classes
that are popular with schools and daycare facilities. We infuse the
pottery painting with a lesson in either art history or art theory.
Gaillard says: "We have taught kids about Monet, Mondrian, Rousseau,
Van Gogh, O'Keeffe, Kandinsky, Pollock and others
and they end
up with a painted piece of pottery to remind them of the lesson
what
fun!"

Your
kids' handprint plate or platter! The perfect Mother-in-law gift!
Have a festive family party for your friends. Get the kids to "lend
their hands" and make handprints on a plate/platter. Send them
off to play and you and your friends can finish the pieces up by adding
decorative borders, children's names and dates! A guaranteed winner
of a gift!
